Forestry Continuing Education (FORCE) Program
TREES has packaged and implemented numerous training programs related to tropical resources and ecosystems sustainability to different local and international organizations and institutions. Some of the training programs include:
- Biodiversity Assessment and Monitoring System (BAMS) for Terrestrial Ecosystems
- Biodiversity Conservation
- Climate-Smart Forest Governance
- Carbon Footprint Assessment
- Ecotourism Development
- Ecotour Guiding for Bird-Watching Guides
- Mountain Guiding
- Science Tourism
- Tree Care Maintenance
- Visitor Management in Forest and Nature-Based Destination
Since 2010, TREES has also been offering a Forestry Refresher Course to BS Forestry graduates. This program aims to augment the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of forestry graduates to systematically prepare them in taking the foresters’ licensure examination, and thus, achieve a high percentage of board passers. The average passing rate of reviewers is at 83%, with two to eight of them landing at the top ten of board passers (based on the 2010-2019 PRC Foresters’ Board Exam results).
